Emily & Matt.

Sometimes you meet people, and you really like them, and this is exactly what happened when I met Emily and Matt, and then I became their wedding celebrant: I was so thrilled. They are warm, kind, funny, inclusive and delightful people, who have been lucky to find one another. And now they are stuck with one another! Their wedding was held in December 2017, and their venue was Kirk's Reservoir, an ever popular wedding venue in Ballarat. And the venue did not disappoint, as you can see in these fab pics, taken by Michelle from D & M Moments Photography, one of the best photographers in town. Congrats Emily and Matt, you guys are awesome xx

“What Is Love”: Author Unknown

“Sooner or later we begin to understand that love is more than verses on valentines and romance in the movies. We begin to know that love is here and now, real and true, the most important thing in our lives. For love is the creator of our favourite memories and the foundation of our fondest dreams.

Love is a promise that is always kept, a fortune that can never be spent, a seed that can flourish in even the most unlikely of places. And this radiance that never fades, this mysterious and magical joy, is the greatest treasure of all – one known only by those who love.”

Megan & Jake

These gorgeous humans were married in November 2017 at the ever beautiful Narmbool, and I was so lucky to be their celebrant. In fact, I am still lucky that I have Megan and Jake in my life, because they are just lovely people, with a gorgeous family, and I love seeing their little family together grow and develop. I really can't say enough about this day, and perhaps I don't need to, as they have such beautiful photos taken by Scott from One Point Photography, who always does the most stunning work. So perhaps I will leave this here: you can see the day through these bits of art from Scott. Congrats Megan and Jake, I adore you both xx

"The most wonderful of all things in life is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase.

This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life."

Tori & Tyler

In March, Tori and Tyler were married and what a day this was, because I knew so many people there, through the groom. It was just like a family reunion, an incredibly joyous occasion. And we were all there to celebrate Tori and Tyler, and they love they have for one another. The venue was in the secret garden section of  The Mercure, which is one of my favourite venues, and even though it was very windy, we were quite protected from that wind. Their photographer was from Duuet Photography, who captured this special day so perfectly. Well done Tori and Tyler, thank so much for allowing me to share you perfect day with you xx

"Yes I'll Marry You My Dear" - Pam Ayers

Yes, I'll marry you, my dear, and here's the reason why; so I can push you out of bed, when the baby starts to cry, and if we hear a knocking, and it's creepy and it's late, I hand you the torch you see, and you investigate.

Yes I'll marry you, my dear, you may not apprehend it, but when the tumble-drier goes, it's you that has to mend it, you have to face the neighbour, should our labrador attack him, and if a drunkard fondles me, it's you that has to whack him.

Yes, I'll marry you, you're virile and you're lean, my house is like a pigsty, you can help to keep it clean. That sexy little dinner, which you served by candlelight, as I do chipolatas, you can cook it every night!

It's you who has to work the drill and put up curtain track, and when I've got PMT it's you who gets the flak. I do see great advantages, but none of them for you, and so before you see the light, I do, I do, I do!”

Nicole & Rob

You know when you meet a person and then all of a sudden you're hugging it out, knowing that you really, really like that person? Well that was the first meeting I had with these two wonderful humans. And then, I got to be their celebrant in March. Every bit of it was a joy to me. Their day was so relaxed and laid back, it was just like hanging out in my own family and friends. Their venue was their home, and their photos were taken by those they loved. And everything was just so right. Well done Nicole and Rob, your day was fabulous, and you both are gorgeous xx

"Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you've never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement.

They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever.

Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn't exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life."

Georgie & Sam

Georgie and Sam were married in January, and it was just a lovely day, surrounded by family and friends, in perfect weather at Donegan's Farm. And there was such a bonus for me as I work with Sam's mum, so it became a very personal wedding for me, and I will have this family with me forever, watching them grow in to the years. Friendships develop from such amazing places, I am so lucky. And can I just mention Georgie's dress: how STUNNING! She looked so beautiful, it was an incredible frock I am sure you will agree. Their photographer was the ever wonderful Tara, from TLC Photography, a magician with the camera. Congratulations Georgie and Sam, you both are wonderful xx

"Through The Years We Have Learned": Author Unknown

“Through the years we have learned a lot about each other, and we have grown together. We have learned about forgiveness; it takes two understanding people to accept one another's faults and still find it in their hearts to forgive each other and forget old arguments. We have learned about friendship; friends stick together, they're always truthful to each other, and they always comfort one another in times of turmoil. Most of all, we have learned about love. It is something that takes time, and after all our time together, our love has never been stronger.”
