Jessica & Brett

Jessica and Brett were married recently at Donegan's Farm, in Gordon. The best things about this wedding? Getting to know these two, getting to develop a relationship with them, and getting to know that they are wonderful, kind people, who deserve to have an amazing life together. And I know that they will. Their ceremony was held on a beautiful afternoon, and it was so nice to see and chat with other people that I knew there: it was a great social event as well as a lovely wedding day. Their photographer was the gorgeously talented Rebecca from Rebecca McLean Photography, and her flowers were styled by Bacchus Marsh Florist (and they were stunning!). Tameaka & Kyle

Tameaka and Kyle: just the most gorgeous things! Theirs was a wedding that I will always remember, not just because they are a fabulous couple, nor for the fact that that we have common friends that we discovered, but also for their inclusiveness in ensuring that their families were very involved in their day (you should have seen the response from the audience when Tameaka walked down the aisle, many a teary eye). Their focus was a family day, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Their venue was Oscars Hotel, in the newly renovated garden area which was great, and their photographers were the wonderful Michelle and Darren, from D&M Moments Photography. What else can I say? Perhaps I should just let the photos tell the story. A fun and fabulous day, which I heartily enjoyed, congratulations Tameaka and Kyle on your marriage, you guys are beautiful xx

Tarryn & Mat

Well, what can I say about this wedding? Love? Joy? Family? Fun? Laughter? Tears? All of the above. What an emotional day: so much happiness wrapped up in a family celebration. From their son, to their parents, and everyone else in between, Tarryn and Mat made sure that everyone had a great day. Their wedding was held at The Tangled Maze, an ever popular and wonderful wedding venue, which again did not disappoint. And really, I should just leave the photos to speak for themselves, which were taken by Kayla Jane Photography. These photos are just beautiful! Sooner or later we begin to understand that love is more than verses on valentines and romance in the movies. We begin to know that love is here and now, real and true, the most important thing in our lives. For love is the creator of our favourite memories and the foundation of our fondest dreams. Love is a promise that is always kept, a fortune that can never be spent, a seed that can flourish in even the most unlikely of places. And this radiance that never fades, this mysterious and magical joy, is the greatest treasure of all – one known only by those who love.

Helen & Luke.

Helen and Luke were married in this past November, just next to the wonderful wedding tree, in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, always a great venue! These two were fabulous to work with, genuinely lovely people who adore one another, and they had such a funny story to share about the night of the wedding proposal, which just made their audience laugh out loud. I love moments like that, sharing a story of love, a story of two people who deserve one another and the best that life can offer them. These two are perfect. Luckily, they had perfect weather on their day, because the day before saw us rained out, unable to do a proper rehearsal. Their wedding was styled by the fabulous girls Lily & Lace, and their photographer was Tara from TLC Photography, one of my faves. Congratulations Helen and Luke: I just loved your wedding day xx

“Blessing For A Marriage” -- James Dillet Freeman

May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring, and may life grant you also patience, tolerance, and understanding. May you always need one another - not so much to fill your emptiness as to help you to know your fullness. A mountain needs a valley to be complete; the valley does not make the mountain less, but more; and the valley is more a valley because it has a mountain towering over it. Another day, another magnificent wedding, another two dear friends who asked me to be their celebrant, and I was just so honoured to be the one they chose. And of course I shed a wee tear, as two people who so deserve the joy that they give each other, married on a gorgeous Ballarat day in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, with Maddy from M&A Photography there to record their day, and RD Special Moments completing their wedding styling. I wasn't the only one who had a tear: the bride and groom were delightfully teary as they spoke their vows to one another: written by them personally and hidden from the other, until the big reveal on the day.
