Tilley & Hayden

I first knew about this couple through my "adopted daughter" Cait, who is Hayden's sister. She would fill me in about their relationship, their career choices, their various stories, and, eventually, their engagement. They sounded like the perfect couple, and I was absolutely delighted for this fabulous family news. And then one day, Tilley contacted me out of the blue, instructing me that I would be their celebrant, no questions asked. And I am so grateful that she did, because now, I have them all in my life, forever, no questions asked.  They were married just this last weekend in March 2019, at the ever fabulous Donegan's Farm, in Gordon, and it was a first for me in a couple of ways........ we had two people faint (one of which was a choir member, another first for me to have a choir at a wedding) and I got to go on a tractor ride to a lovely location for photos (see below, my happy snaps). Their photographer (and I am biased here as he is my husband) was Jeremy Bannister Photography so of course the official photographs will be amazing. And then, after all the photos were finished we joined in at the reception for fun and festivities. I could mention all the inappropriate and hilarious comments of the day, but I am a lady and will not mention all that, just suffice to say that I had a MOST fabulous day with these two darling people whom I will love forever xx

"Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It is really worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more."

Taryn & Mark

Imagine this. I meet a bride and groom AGES ago, and they have a gorgeous baby boy. And then, they get married and that baby boy no longer seems like a baby, and you meet the rest of the friends and family and you work out why this couple is so cool. And they make you giggle, and just appreciate how marvellous life is. Well, this is Taryn and Mark to me. Funny, irreverant, sweet, calm, patient and determined to have the wedding day and ceremony that they truly want. Plus, they give me a really cool guy who is is charge of their music, and he is just great, just like their photographers, D&M Moments Photography, who took these amazing pics. Thank you Taryn and Mark, I had the best time with you all xx

“I Promise You All Of My Love, Now and Forever” - Michelle Thomas.

I promise to give you all my love for now and forever, to keep your love close to my heart so that we will never grow apart. I promise to confide in you if I feel insecure. I promise not to doubt your judgements or actions, without first listening to the feelings in your heart.

I promise to support you in everything you try to accomplish, because your goals have become our goals to achieve together, side by side. I promise to look back on the good and bad times with a smile, to learn by each mistake and know that, with every step of success, we will make it if we just try.

I promise to offer you all the happiness I am capable of giving you, to see that the future is ours to make the best of. I promise to set time aside to be best friends, to dream dreams and make them reality, and just to say "I love you". I promise never to take you for granted because you are the love of my life.”

A Wedding at Ballarat Lodge.

On a perfect day, on just this last weekend, next to a small lake, Lara and Mark were married at The Ballarat Lodge and Convention Centre. This wedding was arranged from their home far, far away from Ballarat, and they did such an amazing job to pull it all together. We met a few times to complete our paperwork, which was easy, but the other details? The dress, the hair, the make up, the suits? What a difficult situation, but it all just seemed to work, because the ceremony ran beautifully, and the bridal party all looked amazing. And to watch Mark's face as his bride walked down the red carpet in THAT dress? Utterly priceless. I was so honoured to have been a part of their day. Congratulations to you both xx

"He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you."
