Tessa & Steve

The venue for this gorgeous wedding was the Art Gallery of Ballarat, and what a stunning venue it is, perfectly suited to the stunning couple, Tess and Steve. They married in January, in front of their most dearest family and friends, and I was so delighted to be their celebrant. These two made the whole wedding process fun, it was a joy to work with them, to spend time with them, and to meet their families. And how cute are their page girls and boy?? These kids just melted everyone's hearts when they arrived, setting the tone for a love-filled and joyous day. Please enjoy these gorgeous photos, taken  by Luke, from Luke Jarvis Photography. Thanks Tessa and Steve, you guys are the perfect couple xx

“The Avenue”: Frances Cornford.

Who has not seen their lover walking at ease, walking like any other,
a pavement under trees, not singular, apart, but footed, featured,
dressed, approaching like the rest in the same dapple of the summer caught;
who has not suddenly thought with swift surprise: there walks in cool disguise,
there comes, my heart.

Mel & Michael

So much love! So much love for this fabulous couple! I have known Mel for quite a while (handy hint: she is a terrific photographer: she owns Mel T Photography), and I was so thrilled when she asked me to be her celebrant for her NYE wedding, which was held at Narmbool Estate, one of my favourite venues in the Ballarat region. And can I just say: their daughter is an amazing human , whom I am very fond of, she makes me just smile. But then again, all their family is lovely and so welcoming. At this wedding, I met the photographers from Justin and Jim Photographers, and I do rather like their work, I musy=t admit. I did wonder which photographer she would choose given her profession. Anyways, please enjoy their work below. So, to Mel and Michael, thank you, thank you, for picking me, I adore you both x

Stephanie & Elliott

This wedding will go down in history as the stuff of legend! I will never forget nearly falling over from laughing during this ceremony...but we'll get to that later. Stephanie and Elliott were married in October, with the venue being their garden, which always make such a personal touch to the day, it's nice to see how people live, and these two had a lovely property to have as their backdrop. These two love to laugh, both with and at each other, which made the whole process of getting them married very easy for me! And I could see where that lovely trait came from when I met their families. They are blessed. Their photographer was Amy, from Never Forgotten Images, some of which are featured below, and some are pics from their friends.

And the funny thing? Some couples like to release doves at a ceremony, it's a significant thing. These two did not do that. They released their two best chickens! Now that was a crack up, it had EVERYONE laughing, and it was BRILLIANT, just like these two dear people. We were very lucky though, as Elliott favours their cattle, but I guess releasing some cattle during the ceremony would also have been rather the hoot! Dear Steph and Elliott, thank you, for everything and for just being you xx

"He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect.
But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can.
He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break.
Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you"

Jessie & Daniel

This wedding was such a joy! Jessie and Daniel were married in August, and their wedding preparation was great fun, because they are just fun to be with, two perfectly suited people, from two amazing families. This couple met when they were just kids, and their love has shone through for all these years, which I thought was wonderful. Imagine growing up with the person that you love most?? Their wedding was held at the Log Cabin Camp in Creswick, which is a great wedding venue, with accomodation and activities galore. Leandra Schmidt Photography was their photographer (the pictures below are a mixture of hers and others photos), and she is a joy to work with. Thanks so much Jessie and Daniel for having me as your celebrant, you are both beautiful people xx

Tracey & Rory

These two lovebirds were married in October, at the always lovely Narmbool. The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect, the audience was perfect, but more importantly, Tracey and Rory are perfect for one another. This couple are sweet, gentle, loving, and above all, they are now dear friends that I will cherish for a very long time! Please enjoy their photos, which are a mix of photos from friends and the ever wonderful D & M Moments Photography duo: Michelle and Darren. Dear Tracey and Rory: thank you for having me as your celebrant, it was an absolute honour for me x
